Student Career Resources

GCU’s Career Services are available to assist students with navigating their professional development. I As a faculty member, you are instrumental in helping students to achieve their academic, spiritual, and career goals, so it is vital for you to be in the know of student services.

The Career Connections application is available to traditional undergrad students through their student portal. It helps students manage their academic and career progress, including setting academic goals, following the Purpose Plan, building their career portfolio, applying for career opportunities and/or internships via the online job board, improving interviewing skills, schedule career advising appointments, registering for events or workshops and more!

  • In your classroom discussions, activities, and assignments, relate the content to their future careers.
  • Promote the fact that Career Connections has an increasingly growing repository of employers who are intentionally seeking out GCU students and graduates!
  • Align classroom activities so that students progress through their Purpose Plan checklist.
  • Remind students of activities on campus and encourage their participation, e.g. post Month @ a Glance or Trending10 flyers in your Announcements.
  • Ask students to share success stories they’ve had using the system (be sure to share those with your faculty chair or dean).
  • Have your student visit the Career Center in 16-104!
